WATER Institute Lake Michigan Monitoring Buoy

A pelagic monitoring buoy is moored on a triangular anchor system in 109 m of water. It is equipped for both meteorological measurements and water quality measurements (profiling surface to bottom). Data are logged on the buoy, and transmitted via cell phone back to the WATER Institute twice per day.
